This policy explains what personal information I collect through insyncea.com, how I use it, and the choices you have. I have written it in plain language on purpose.
Who I am
InSyncEA is a remote executive and operations support service run by Wendy Mwende, based in Kenya. I am responsible for the personal information collected through this website. You can contact me at wendy@insyncea.com.
What information I collect
- Contact form. Your first and last name, email address, company and role, the service you are interested in, and the message you write.
- Booking a call. The details you enter when you book through Calendly, such as your name, email address, and the time you choose.
- Email. Anything you send me directly.
- Website usage. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, your device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
- Technical data. Information such as your IP address, which is handled by the services that host and protect the website.
How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk through how I can help.
- To schedule and run calls, and to provide services you ask for.
- To understand how the website is used, so I can improve it.
- To keep the website secure and prevent spam.
- To meet legal and record-keeping obligations.
Where the law asks for a reason to use your information, I rely on your consent, the need to respond to you or provide a service, and my legitimate interest in running and improving my business.
Who I share it with
I do not sell your personal information. I use a small number of service providers who handle information only to provide their service to me:
- Web3Forms delivers contact form messages to my email.
- hCaptcha protects the form from spam.
- Calendly handles call bookings.
- Google Analytics measures website usage, and Google Fonts supplies the fonts on this site.
- GitHub hosts the website files, and Cloudflare helps deliver and protect the site.
Each provider has its own privacy policy. I may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, which uses cookies to measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Google also offers an opt-out browser add-on for Google Analytics.
How long I keep information
I keep enquiry and client information for as long as I need it to respond, provide services, and keep business records. After that, I delete or anonymize it. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of my Google Analytics account.
Where information is processed
Because I work remotely with international clients and use online services, your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to limit or object to how it is used, and to withdraw consent you have given. These rights come from laws such as the Kenya Data Protection Act, the UK and EU GDPR, and some US state laws. To use any of them, email wendy@insyncea.com and I will reply. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This website is for businesses and is not aimed at children. I do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
